A REFLECTION
Category General
Comes this time of the year one tends to reflect on what was and what is to come.
2021 was without a doubt a year of many tribulations for most people, especially on a personal and emotional level - it was tough and challenging, to say the least. But, as humans we are resilient and have the ability to get up and move forward with force. Why this is the case is difficult to say; maybe it is faith, maybe hope, or just because inherently we believe that tomorrow will be better.
On the business front amidst many challenges, things were different - at least for us at Huizemark. The company did exceptionally well and can boast all-time record sales and intake of new agents. The overall phenomenal growth rate experienced was due to the fact that our individual franchises, and independent agents alike, have shown unprecedented growth across the country. Huizemark is blessed with the most loyal and committed business partners, people who are always willing to go the extra mile as far as customer service goes - offering 'soothing property solutions' is not merely a by-line on paper but is lived by our agents.
Since its inception in 1962, Huizemark pioneered many changes in the real estate profession as it embraced the visionary talent of its team. In 2010 we have seen the advent of the virtual office and at the same time the introduction of the 90% commission model for independent agents, both of which have grown to become quite fashionable in real estate practice today.
This year, Huizemark has taken another bold step. This time the decision was to stop the sale of franchises altogether. The reason for this is simply that we believe that the traditional franchise model in real estate is way past its sell by date. The application of digital marketing and the ability to electronically engage buyers and sellers across boundary lines has made the traditional franchise exclusive territory model obsolete. We have done away with franchise fees and allow for professional partners to come and enjoy the collective energy of people working together under a national brand where their success is of paramount importance.
We are looking forward to a year ahead where our growth pattern will continue. On asking Huizemark director, Bryan Biehler, what he believes 2022 will bring, he said: "We can expect another bumper year. 2021 was only the springboard for better things to come. Our agents are well equipped, have the tenacity to succeed and above all set high standards as far as customer satisfaction is concerned - these factors make success inevitable."
We look back at 2021 with immense gratitude for the ability to evolve, to excel, and above, our incredible team of principals and agents.
May 2022 the year in which you will see all your dreams turn into reality!
